Mgoun Ascent (4068m) & Ait Bougemez valley 8 days
Period:
from April to November
Duration:
8 days/ 5 days walking
Grade:
medium
Djebel M'goun - the only 4,000m+ summit
outside of the Toubkal region in the Atlas. Slowly acclimatising,
we trek over passes, past waterfalls and through remote valleys
to arrive at the peak. The views from the summit towards the
Sahara are unforgettable. After making our way back to
Marrakech, we transfer across to Azib n'Ikkis, which marks the
start of the trek in to Mgoun. By now everyone should be well
acclimatised and fit to climb the col
of Tarkedit (3450m), which offers
spectacular views above Tarkeddit plat.
